Kory and I met in 2008 during our freshman year of college, and got married in 2013. We adopted our puppy, Elsa, almost a year after getting married, and as much as we love her, we're ready for a human baby to join our family! This blog is about our journey to parenthood, and includes our foray into the often unacknowledged world of infertility.
I wanted to start this blog for a couple of reasons. First, because reading other blogs (such as Our Misconception) has helped me deal with some of the emotions that come with this deck of cards. Infertility is rarely spoken about even though it's quite common (1 in 8 couples will experience fertility issues), and I'm hoping reading our story can help someone else not feel quite so alone.
The second reason is for this blog to be my outlet. My sisters and close friends have listened to my womb woes for the better part of a year, and I'm hoping by writing everything down, I can give their ears a break!
So join us on our journey to parenthood! We have no idea how long it will take, or how we will get there, but we're trying to enjoy the ride! (no pun intended)
